Plus your radio frequencies appear for ATIS, tower, departure, approach, center etc. Vatsim ATC is "offline" for a given area the coverage area is pure white - if ATC is active the area is cross-hatched so you can tell at a glance. If you are approaching an uncontrolled airspace (e.g. I especially love where the VATSIM coverage areas are clearly marked out as active, and the borders of same, so when you depart one airspace and enter another, you KNOW you should call the new center BEFORE they squawk to you on Vatsim. Just saying! Plus, it easily runs on 2 PC's (data server on your FSX box, client on the 2nd PC) so you don't get the issues with pausing FSX. The 'charts' are all there and built in- and uses NAVIGRAPH data for the SID/STARS via AIRAC updates.I think you can tie it to NOAA realtime weather (that's what I do) as well. At minimum, may I at least suggest you consider "Trying" EFB? I am pretty sure you will find some things are irresistibly appealing in EFB! I know they already are working on version 2 (current is version 1).I committed to purchase well before 30 days.
Thanks for the tip though!Best regards,JimHi Jim!Yes, I have all the same resources you mentioned except Active Sky (I went with REX instead) - yet I am compelled to use EFB. In other words, I have already spent a bundle for the same flight planning information, albeit not all in one place like this nice package, but still I'll pass. I also use Navigraph and they provide a lot of valuable info too.
Whenever I select a gate, the follow-me vehicle takes me on the other side of the airport and I see a lot of vacant gates on the way, some with the same airline I'm flying sitting next to the vacant gate.I have not but have looked at it on their website and will stay with FSBuild for flight planning and AS2012 to provide me the enroute weather and the Internet for SID/STAR/Airport charts. That looks like an easy option for them to put into GSX.

Have you seen AivlaSoft's Electronic Flight Bag (30 day free fully functional demo)? It's pricey ($73 USD) but omg - it's nearly perfect in so many ways! HIGHLY recommend you check it out if you haven't done so! regards, Yah, I too am puzzled by the Marshaller and the relatively poor job he does lining up my aircraft - almost defeats the purpose - another neat feature for FSDreamteam to consider adding would be for the Marshaller to appear at ANY gate that you choose to park in (this could be a default setup choice in GSX options - eg "6- Marshaller appears automatically at every gate upon parking" How cool would that be? Especially if you could turn that on or off? Good little program though. Thanks again for the presentation.Best regards,JimHey Jim,Thanks for the kind comments. We ARE the Captains so who cares what a Marshaller has to say? LOL. It's really bugging me that I can't get a nice comment from the Marshaller!!! I do know he brings you too far past the lines most of the time and I think FS DreamTeam executives are working on a solution to tweak this aspect of GSX. I wonder if anyone has had a 'nice parking' or 'outstanding parking' comment from the Marshaller yet.
That's all I get too even though I do my utmost to stay on the line and follow the Marshaller's directions. I noted the Marshaller said 'that wasn't a very good parking'. I was particularly interested in how well you parked the aircraft. Robert,Enjoyed the night video (haven't watched the daytime one yet).
